Literature Review

A substantial desk study and literature review is needed for this project. The study will help to:
  • collate and describe existing methods of harvesting,
  • understand their applicability for different types of algae and systems, and
  • evaluate the sustainability of each method for open environmental systems.

The literature review has been categorised, thus far, in to existing reviews and individual harvesting methods. Each section is a work in progress, and more categories – such as Anaerobic Digestion and Biomimicry – will be present in the final review.
